Lately I have been binge watching episodes of The Office on Netflix and last night I watched the Garden Party episode. OMG Hilarious!!!! It got me thinking, with spring rapidly approaching, I should throw my own garden party. So, without further adieu, here is my guide to throwing a party worthy of Schrute Farms.
You enter through the small clearing of trees and brush to see a whimsical setting. A lace draped table and eclectic chairs, canopied with dainty lights and iridescent fabric willowing from the trees. It sounds like something out of a story book, but it’s something you can easily replicate it in your own backyard. Now that spring is here, take advantage of the spring weather and throw the ultimate garden party. They’re a great way to bring friends together and enjoy a beautiful day outdoors with delicious drinks and food.
Finger Sandwiches
Bite size foods are perfect for garden parties. They are simple and easy to prepare and you can make a large amount in little to no time. The most popular of the finger sandwiches is probably the cucumber watercress. It traditionally consists of watercress leaves, thinly sliced cucumber, salted butter, and white bread. Some people do substitute the butter for cream cheese, giving it a slightly richer taste. Make a few different varieties and your guests will have options to choose from.

Decorations
The decor is one of the most important parts of a garden party because it really sets the mood. You can choose any theme that you want, from something out of Alice in Wonderland to bohemian, or even pirate themed. We like a mixture of tea party and bohemian because it presents a very whimsical and relaxed atmosphere. It’s also quite easy to put together and can be done inexpensively.
Time for Tea!
You’ll definitely need tea to go with all that delicious food. Because it’s Spring time, ice tea would be the perfect refresher. It takes very little time, only a few ingredients, and can be personalized. There are a wide variety of teas to choose from, like black tea, white tea, green tea and so on. You can add fruits or herbs like mint to add dimensions of flavor.
